Biro loves telling stories…about crime…about all kinds of jazz.

Currently, Biro is supervising producer of Investigation Discovery’s hit true-crime tv series, “The Perfect Murder.” His specialty—interviewing the victim’s grieving family members and the hard-boiled journalists and cops who worked the case.

And, Biro’s producing a 4-hour docu-series for A&E,“Gotti and Son”, about the unique relationship between the infamous mob boss John G. Gotti and his son, John A. Gotti.

For the past six years, Biro ‘s had his dream gig, producing five UNESCO-sponsored “International Jazz Day” concert films and interviewing many of the world’s best jazz musicians. Concert cities – New York, Istanbul, Osaka, Paris and upcoming on April 30, Havana.

Last year he executive produced the family entertainment feature film “Ace the Case” starring Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon and young teen star, Ripley Sobo.

About a dozen years ago, Biro launched HUDSON RIVER FILMS where he and his team create and produce a wide array of content. And while one might call Biro a generalist, he describes himself as versatile. Clients include American Express, The New York Philharmonic, New York Public Radio/WQXR, Thompson Hotels, Starwood Hotels, Morgans Hotel Group, Verizon, The Limited, Humana, Random House, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Sony Music Group, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, A&E Network, Vh1, HSN Network, Magnolia Pictures and the Weinstein Company.

HUDSON RIVER FILMS specializes in music films., including three feature documentaries Biro produced and directed— “Herbie Hancock: Possibilities”;  Grammy-nominated “The Greatest Ears in Town: The Arif Mardin Story” and“3 Doors Down: Away From The Sun.”

Among the dozens of other music projects are concert or promo films for Norah Jones, Robert Plant, Rufus Wainwright, Kate Hudson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Melody Gardot, Nigel Kennedy, Emmy Rossum, Herbie Hancock, Maxwell, Jason Mraz, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga and The New York Philharmonic.

Before striking out on his own, Biro experienced life in the corporate lane, heading up creative services at RCA Records/BMG Entertainment in NYC. For eight years he led the team that produced videos, package design and advertising for Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, The Strokes and others.

Just prior to his stint at RCA Records, Biro traveled east as Sr. VP/creative director at McCann-Erickson Tokyo where he wrote and produced award-winning tv spots for Coca-Cola and Levi’s directed by several of Hollywood’s finest – David Fincher, David Lynch and J.J. Abrams. 

Biro lives in Long Island City with his son, Julian.
